Founded by Lian Gabilo, Gabilo Legal is led by a Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Lian assists clients with Small Claims Court disputes, Landlord & Tenant Board matters, Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, Assessment Review Board and Skip tracing across Ontario.

With a background in high-stakes civil litigation. Lian is currently a litigation paralegal for a principal lawyer in a commercial litigation law firm. She supports both collection matters and complex disputes, gaining experience in legal drafting, case management, and advocacy through various civil litigation and Highway Traffic Act matters. She works closely with counsel on active litigation files and brings that experience into her paralegal practice.

Lian brings a diverse legal background, having worked at a prominent criminal law firm representing Police Associations across Canada, where she law clerked for the firm’s civil litigation team and gained hands-on experience in complex legal drafting, case management, and trial preparation.

She was also mentored under the instruction of a founding member of the Landlord & Tenant Board, providing her with practical insight and best practices.

In addition, Lian has a diploma in Community & Justice Services. Before venturing into the legal field, Lian worked in the social services sector where she worked with at-risk youth, adults and incarcerated men who were transitioning back into society.

Lian is very passionate about helping those in need and relies on this foundation to carry out her legal work.
